“We were originally looking for a small show barn for our daughter, who was dabbling in the short stirrup division with her pony – and we could not have been luckier with finding Courtney & CWS! CWS merges impeccable hunter/jumper training expertise with a deep love and expert care for ponies and horses. As soon as our daughter started lessons with Courtney, she learned so much about proper horsemanship and riding. We continue to be amazed with Courtney’s ability to correctly analyze riding situations and providing specific instructions on how to improve execution. “I luckily found Country Woods when I was searching for a new home for my mare and gelding. I had looked at quite a few places before I came to Courtney’s and from the minute I came onto the property I knew it was going to be right. The barn is kept clean, organized and all of the horses look amazing at all times. My hard keeper of a thoroughbred gelding was kept at an exceptional weight with Courtney’s wonderful feeding program and her close eye on his care. She was always there to help out with anything that could be needed and would inform me of any changes with my horses. Courtney’s family were diligent in their care of the horses as well, keeping an eye on them and loving them as though they were their own animals. “Ashrial arrived at Country Woods Stables and immediately relaxed while making friends with his new buddies. I was not able to visit often but I don’t think he missed me at all. When I did visit – his stall was immaculate, he was happy and very well cared for. Good weight and health the whole time. Courtney was always on top of any issues and would call me right away. “Country Woods Stable has been a great home for my horse. He gets to be out in a paddock with shelter during the night and out in the field with his friends during the day almost every day. The cute tucked away barn is always very tidy and neat. It’s not a really big barn which makes it super cozy. All the boarders get along which is amazing. No barn drama. Courtney, her husband and their daughter are a very approachable, respectful and hardworking. family. They treat and love each horse like their own. The sand arena is ideal for flat work and few jumps here and there. Just half a block down the road there are some lovely trails to switch up the arena work with a little trail ride and Campbell Valley park is only about a 10 minute drive away. I live in Vancouver and would have options to have my horse way closer but I would rather drive that far than move my horse to another barn.
